FORECAST SUMMARY

An upper-level ridge of high pressure will build over the region this week, allowing the summer-like weather pattern to continue. Hot and humid weather conditions will persist across the Mid-South with heat indices approaching 100 degrees the next few days. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the lower 90s through Friday, cooling into the mid and upper 80s over the weekend. Overnight low temperatures will generally be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible each day across the Mid-South, but most areas will remain dry.
