CoCoRaHS

CoCoRaHS Precipitation Reports K3JAE's Weather Station is proud to be a contributing member of CoCoRaHS since April 01, 2008 and locally in Carroll County since August of 2012. Our manual gauge measurements are made at 7:00am daily and reported via the CoCoRaHS website. The current reports for Carroll County are shown on the map below.

Note that Carroll County has many microclimates due to the rolling hills as well as the Mississippi and Tennessee Rivers on either side of Carroll County causing a direct and variable impact on weather patterns in all the counties between the 2 major rivers. The wind and weather patterns are affected by both rivers and a wide spread of rainfall amounts can easily be seen at times from one end of Carroll County to the other be it north to south or east to west.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the automated rain gauge report from the weather station is compiled and reset each day at midnight and the CoCoRaHS gauge is read and emptied daily at 07:00, the daily rain reports on the website compared to the CoCoRaHS reported data may differ from slightly to a large amount due to the differing times for measurement reading/resets (automatic gauge: midnight, CoCoRaHS gauge: 07:00am).
