345 PM CDT SAT MAY 18 2013 A WEAK WEATHER DISTURBANCE LOCATED ACROSS THE MID SOUTH MAY RESULT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT. IT WILL BE VERY HUMID AND MILD. LOWS TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE 60S TO AROUND 70 DEGREES. RAIN FREE WEATHER WILL RETURN FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS TO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. THIS WILL RESULT IN AFTERNOON HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80S TO AROUND 90 DEGREES. CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY RETURN BY MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY AS UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES MOVE ACROSS THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY AND A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY. SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO NEXT FRIDAY AS THE FRONT STALLS OUT ACROSS THE REGION. HIGH TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK WILL BE MAINLY IN THE 80S WITH LOWS IN THE 60S.
