409 PM CDT MON SEP 1 2014 HOT SUMMER WEATHER TO CONTINUE INTO THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER AS CIRCULATION AROUND HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER SOUTH GEORGIA SENDS PLENTY OF MOISTURE INTO THE MID SOUTH ON SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS. HIT OR MISS SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND PERHAPS A THUNDERSTORM WILL INCREASE LATER IN THE DAY AS A WEAK DISTURBANCE APPROACHES FROM THE NORTHWEST. FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK EXPECT ABUNDANT MOISTURE TO PERSIST AND WITH PLENTY OF SUN...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE HEAT OF THE AFTERNOON. FOR THE WEEKEND CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL INCREASE AS A COLD FRONT HEADS TOWARD THE REGION. LOOK FOR DRIER WEATHER AND COOLER TEMPERATURES LATE SUNDAY AS THE FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE MID SOUTH.
