342 AM CDT FRI MAY 24 2013 HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE MIDSOUTH TODAY AND INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. DRY CONDITIONS WITH NEAR TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE 70S TODAY. A WARMING TREND WILL OCCUR BY THE LATTER PART OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AS WINDS TURN AROUND TO THE SOUTH. SMALL CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO OCCUR AS A COUPLE OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE REGION. DRY CONDITIONS WILL RETURN FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE WORK WEEK AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE REGION. ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED WITH HIGHS RANGING FROM THE MID TO UPPER 80S.
