Autumn will finally arrive in the Mid-South this week. An upper level trough will remain over the middle portion of the country for much of the upcoming week. As a result, much cooler temperatures are expected with highs generally expected to be in the 60s. There is a potential for frost development Tuesday Night as lows drop down into the mid to upper 30s. A cold front will move into the area on late Thursday Night into Friday and will bring the next chance for rain. Even cooler temperatures will occur behind this cold front. Highs next weekend will only be in the 50s with the first freeze possibly happening over portions of the area.
